A headboard’s fabric usually marks or fades long before the frame underneath gives out, which is why recovering one is often worth it. We recover existing headboards in new fabric, or make one to size for the bed and the wall, in plain, bordered, channelled or deep-buttoned finishes. If you want a matching footstool or a pair of cushions in the same cloth, say so at the quote stage. It is simpler to order enough fabric once than to chase the same dye batch later.

Dining chairs can come to us singly or as a full set. Drop-in seats are quick: a new pad and cover and they go back into the frame. When a Poynton sofa comes up, the first question is whether it needs a full recover or just new seats. If the frame and fabric are sound but the cushions have flattened, new foam cut to the original shapes is the smaller job and the cheaper one. See replacement sofa cushions. If it does need recovering, we will say from the photos whether the frame justifies the cost.

Poynton sits outside Greater Manchester, so collection is priced by distance and confirmed in your written quote. Dropping a piece at 40-42 Grosvenor Street, Stalybridge costs nothing, and the workshop is open Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5 and Saturday 10 to 2. From Higher Poynton or Disley, a headboard or a pair of dining chairs will usually fit in a car, and the free drop-off is then the cheaper route. A sofa or a full suite is where collection earns its cost.
