Straight about the distance

Rochdale is about thirty minutes from our workshop on Grosvenor Street in Stalybridge, and very little of our domestic work so far has come from OL11, OL12 or OL16. We would rather say that than suggest we are round the corner. What the distance changes is which jobs make sense, and how you get them to us. Rochdale’s districts are spread out, from the town centre around the town hall to Healey Dell on the Whitworth side, and collection is priced the same across OL11, OL12 and OL16.

Every job starts the same way: photos on WhatsApp or through the quote form, and a free written price, usually the same working day. You know what it costs, including collection if you want it, before anything leaves the building.

Bar stools, fixed seating and function rooms

Commercial work is where Rochdale’s distance matters least, because contract work already travels UK-wide. A set of bar stools can come to the workshop together and go back on an agreed date. Fixed booths and banquettes are recovered by the seat or by the run under our pub seating service, and where only one section has split we can recover that section alone.

Clubhouses, function rooms and venue seating fall under our sports clubs and venues work: fixed seating runs, tub chairs and padded walls, scheduled around fixtures and bookings. Every commercial cover is BS 5852 Crib 5 certified with combustion-modified foam, and the quote is itemised. Anything larger than a handful of seats starts with a site visit.

Foam and cushions by courier

If your sofa frame is fine and only the seat has gone, you may not need to bring anything to Stalybridge. Foam cut to size can be posted or couriered to a Rochdale address, in grades from a soft seat pad to firm contract foam, and in dryfast foam for garden or outdoor seating. Send us the measurements of each cushion, or an old cushion to copy if you are passing, and we will recommend the grade.
