That distance is worth it for the right work. The period property around the Delph and Worsley Green holds the kind of furniture that repays proper traditional upholstery – hand-tied springs, horsehair, frames that were made to be re-covered several times over a century. That is bench work measured in days, not an afternoon, and it is what the workshop was built around.
For a single small item the journey is harder to justify, and we will tell you if we think you would be better served closer to home. For a suite, a set of dining chairs, or several pieces going together, send photographs and measurements and we will price it properly.
