Commercial upholstery
Commercial upholstery near Manchester -- refits for pubs, hotels, offices, healthcare, education and film/TV.
Hospitality is most of what we do. Bench seating, booths, banquettes and chairs reupholstered to BS 5852 Crib 5, scheduled around closing time and signed off in writing. The same workshop also supports interior designers and specifiers with fabric samples, visuals and itemised quotes, plus antimicrobial finishes for clinics, holiday-window education refits and NDA-ready set pieces for film and TV.

Commercial upholstery Manchester
Commercial upholstery Manchester buyers search when a pub, office, school or care setting needs contract-grade recovering without buying new. Valley Upholstery is the Stalybridge workshop behind that work -- twenty-five minutes from the city centre, on the road across Greater Manchester since 1978. We carry out commercial reupholstery for pubs, hotels, restaurants and bars, plus offices, healthcare and care homes, schools and colleges, film and TV productions and interior designers and specifiers. This hub is the starting point for contract quotes; see also upholstery in Manchester for local collection and site visits.
Pub seating upholstery
Pub seating upholstery is where most hospitality managers start -- fixed benches, booths, bar stools and loose pub chairs recovered in Crib 5 fabric or wipe-clean vinyl. We quote from photos and seat counts, visit larger venues across Manchester and Tameside, and phase work around closing time. Recent proof includes the Black Bull pub refit in Stalybridge and Preston pub seating runs. See the dedicated pub seating and banquettes service and hospitality hub for venue-specific pricing.
Commercial furniture reupholstery and reseating
Most of our trade work is commercial furniture reupholstery: fixed bench seating, banquettes, booths, bar stools, tub chairs, dining and office chairs reseated in volume. We strip back to the frame, replace springs and foam where they have gone, and recover in hard-wearing contract-grade fabric, vinyl or leather. For commercial upholstered seating that takes a daily battering we specify pub and banquette seating in wipe-clean vinyls and double-rubbed contract weaves, and we will recover in situ where lifting the run out is not practical. See our reupholstery and rejuvenation service for the full strip-back process.
Contract upholstery for larger clients and estates
We take on contract upholstery and contract reupholstery for larger clients across the North-West: multi-site rollouts, phased programmes across an estate, fleet and portfolio work, and bulk public-sector commissions. Purchase-order and invoice terms are agreed up front, references are available on request, and we are comfortable with specification-led briefs. The capacity is real -- we have recovered a full set of Boeing 747 aircraft seats and worked through bulk education commissions like the Tameside College antimacassars, alongside hospitality refits across Greater Manchester.
Crib 5 fire-safe contract work
All hospitality, healthcare, education and public-sector jobs use combustion-modified foam and fabric tested to BS 5852 Crib 5, and Crib 7 where the specification demands it. We supply the fire-test certificates with the quote and again at sign-off, and can specify antimicrobial, wipe-clean and waterproof finishes for clinics and care homes. Replacement foam is cut to size in the correct grade and fire rating for the setting.
What a commercial upholstery quote costs
Every commercial upholstery quote is itemised, but as a guide: recovering fixed banquette or booth seating runs from roughly £180 to £320 per linear metre plus fabric; bar stools and tub chairs from around £60 to £140 each plus fabric; bulk dining or office chair reseating drops on a per-unit basis. Crib 5 contract fabric and a foam upgrade add to the figure where required. Send photos, quantities or a brief and we come back the same day with a written quote -- no verbal estimates that move when the invoice lands.

We schedule around you, not the other way round: pubs and restaurants after closing, schools and colleges in holiday windows, offices over weekends. In-situ recovers keep closed days to a minimum, and larger jobs are phased so a venue keeps trading. Typical lead times run two to four weeks depending on fabric and volume, agreed up front and held -- across Manchester, Stockport, Oldham, Ashton-under-Lyne and the rest of the North-West.

- Do you supply Crib 5 fire-rated foam and fabric for pubs, restaurants and venues?
- Yes. All hospitality, commercial and public-sector work uses combustion-modified foam and fabrics tested to BS 5852 Crib 5 (and Crib 7 where the spec requires it). We provide the test certificates with every quote and again when the job is signed off.
- Can you work on film, TV and production sets under NDA?
- Yes. We are a regular supplier for Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, HBO Max, Apple TV+ and Disney+ productions in the North West. We routinely sign NDAs and deliver camera-ready, durable seating and set pieces on schedule.
- Do you offer free quotes?
- Yes. Free, no-obligation quotes by phone, email, in shop or, for larger jobs, on site.
- How long does reupholstery take?
- Most domestic projects take two to four weeks from collection to delivery. Caravans usually run two to three weeks. Single dining chairs are often back within a week. We agree the timeline up front and stick to it.
- Do you collect and deliver?
- Yes. We collect and deliver across Greater Manchester for a small charge. The fee depends on distance and size; we'll confirm it in your quote.
- What guarantee do you offer?
- Workmanship is guaranteed, with a two-year craftsmanship guarantee on production and contract work. Fabric durability is governed by the supplier's own rub-test rating; we'll explain that when you choose.
