Replacing the whole set costs more than the furniture is worth, so we make new cushions and covers instead. We make garden and outdoor cushions to measure in our Stalybridge workshop for homes across Greater Manchester, and for pub beer gardens, hotel terraces and cafe forecourts across the North-West. Send a photo and a cushion count via a quote and we will price it. ## Rattan and patio set cushions Rattan cushions and patio set cushions are the most common outdoor job. Where the old covers are sound we use them as patterns; where they have gone, we cut new to the sizes. New seat covers usually land between £55 and £80 each plus fabric and VAT, with back and scatter cushions from around £20 depending on size. Foam is dryfast, an open-cell reticulated foam that drains and dries, so the cushion does not hold water after rain. ## Benches, swing seats and L-shape garden seating Garden benches, swing seats and built-in L-shape seating get box cushions with ties so they stay put in wind, zips so the covers come off for washing, and piping if you want a tailored edge. Seat cushions are usually made in two or three sections on a long bench so one can come in for cleaning without the lot. This is the outdoor version of our bench and window seat cushions . ## Conservatories and garden rooms Conservatory seating lives in sun and damp, so it gets the outdoor treatment: solution-dyed fabric that holds its colour, and a foam that copes with condensation. Cane and rattan conservatory suites are re-cushioned with the same care as a sofa, and the covers are made loose so they can be washed. ## For pubs, hotels and cafes Beer garden benches, terrace sofas, hotel loungers and cafe forecourt seating are made in contract outdoor fabric with the durability ratings for your file, in batches so the outside area keeps trading, and timed for the start of the season. Over it we use a showerproof or solution-dyed outdoor fabric from our supplier ranges, in plains and stripes, and we will post samples so you can leave one on the patio for a fortnight before choosing. Cushions still last longer if they go in a box or under cover over winter, and we will say so on the quote. How long does reupholstery take? Most domestic projects take two to four weeks from collection to delivery. Caravans usually run two to three weeks. Single dining chairs are often back within a week. We agree the timeline up front and stick to it. Do you collect and deliver? Yes. We collect and deliver across Greater Manchester for a small charge. The fee depends on distance and size; we'll confirm it in your quote. Can I supply my own fabric? Yes. We're happy to use customer-supplied fabric. We'll calculate the exact metreage you need before you order — including pattern repeats — so you don't end up short. Note: we can't warrant fabric durability on covers we haven't supplied. Will garden cushions go mouldy or hold water? Not if the foam and cover are chosen for outside.
