Bespoke upholstered headboard in a modern bedroom fabric

Advice first

We tell you what is worth doing before you spend on fabric or repair work.

Quoted clearly

Photos, sizes and fabric choices become a written price, not a vague estimate.

Built properly

Frames, foam, stitching and finish are checked so the work lasts in daily use.

In scope

What we cover.

  • Existing headboards recovered in new fabric
  • Bespoke headboards made to size
  • Plain, bordered, channelled and deep-buttoned finishes
  • Fabric advice for bedrooms, rentals and commercial rooms
  • Wall fixing, bed fixing and height discussed before quoting

A headboard changes a room quickly, but the size and fixing matter. Too low and it disappears behind pillows; too tall or too wide and it can overpower the room or make fitting awkward.

We recover existing headboards and make new bespoke pieces. Plain panels are the most economical, while deep-buttoned, bordered or channelled finishes need more labour and can use more fabric. We explain that before you buy material.

If you are matching wallpaper, a bed base or existing furnishings, bring a sample or photo into the showroom. We can help you choose something that works with the room and is practical enough for regular use.

Hotels, guest houses and rental properties can also be quoted as repeat pieces, with fabric and fixing agreed up front so every room is consistent.

Working with us

How it works.

  1. 1

    Measure the bed and wall

Send the bed size, headboard width and the height you want above the mattress.

  2. 2

    Pick the finish

Plain, deep-buttoned, channelled or bordered. We explain what each finish needs from the fabric.

  3. 3

    Build or recover

We recover existing headboards or make new boards, padding and covers to suit the room.

  4. 4

    Fit or collect

Smaller headboards can be collected; larger or wall-fixed pieces are discussed before booking.

Frequently asked

Common questions about this service.

How long does reupholstery take?
Most domestic projects take two to four weeks from collection to delivery. Caravans usually run two to three weeks. Single dining chairs are often back within a week. We agree the timeline up front and stick to it.
Can I choose any fabric or leather?
You can choose from hundreds of fabrics and leathers in our Stalybridge showroom — Cristina Marrone, Rosemount Fabrics, Ross Fabrics, Sunbury Designs, Warwick, Wemyss, Agua, Futura Leathers, Crest Leather, Nene Valley Leathers and more — priced from about £15 per metre to around £120 per metre.
Can I supply my own fabric?
Yes. We're happy to use customer-supplied fabric. We'll calculate the exact metreage you need before you order — including pattern repeats — so you don't end up short. Note: we can't warrant fabric durability on covers we haven't supplied.
What guarantee do you offer?
Workmanship is guaranteed, with a two-year craftsmanship guarantee on production and contract work. Fabric durability is governed by the supplier's own rub-test rating; we'll explain that when you choose.
Do you offer free quotes?
Yes. Free, no-obligation quotes by phone, email, in shop or, for larger jobs, on site.
