Replacement sofa cushions
Replacement sofa cushion foam, fibre wrap and cushion covers quoted from sizes or existing cushions, for seats that have gone flat, soft or uneven.

Advice first
We tell you what is worth doing before you spend on fabric or repair work.
Quoted clearly
Photos, sizes and fabric choices become a written price, not a vague estimate.
Built properly
Frames, foam, stitching and finish are checked so the work lasts in daily use.
In scope
What we cover.
- Seat cushions, back cushions and scatter cushions
- Foam cut to size from old cushions or measurements
- Firmness advice for daily seating, rentals and older frames
- Fibre wrap, stockinette and cover fit checked before collection
- Can be quoted alongside a full sofa recover
If a sofa has gone flat but the frame and covers are still sound, replacement cushion foam can be the sensible first step. It will not solve a broken frame or failed springs, but it can make a tired sofa feel usable again without a full recover.
We cut foam from existing cushions, templates or measurements. The old cushion is usually the safest pattern because it already matches the cover, but we can also advise from photos if you are not sure whether the issue is foam, fibre, springs or the cover itself.
Firmness is the main choice. Too soft and the cushion will fail quickly; too firm and the sofa may feel wrong for the frame. We will recommend a grade based on the seat depth, the cover fit and how the sofa is used.
Replacement cushions can be quoted on their own or as part of a larger upholstery job. If the fabric is also tired, we will say whether cushion foam alone is worth doing before you spend money.

Working with us
How it works.
- 1
Bring or measure the cushion
Existing cushion inners are the easiest pattern. Photos and rough sizes can start the quote.
- 2
Choose the firmness
We recommend a foam grade based on how the sofa is used and how firm you want it to feel.
- 3
Cut and wrap
Foam is cut to size, wrapped where needed and checked against the cover.
- 4
Refit
You collect the cushion or we return it as part of a larger upholstery job.
Frequently asked
Common questions about this service.
- How long does reupholstery take?
- Most domestic projects take two to four weeks from collection to delivery. Caravans usually run two to three weeks. Single dining chairs are often back within a week. We agree the timeline up front and stick to it.
- Can I choose any fabric or leather?
- You can choose from hundreds of fabrics and leathers in our Stalybridge showroom — Cristina Marrone, Rosemount Fabrics, Ross Fabrics, Sunbury Designs, Warwick, Wemyss, Agua, Futura Leathers, Crest Leather, Nene Valley Leathers and more — priced from about £15 per metre to around £120 per metre.
- Can I supply my own fabric?
- Yes. We're happy to use customer-supplied fabric. We'll calculate the exact metreage you need before you order — including pattern repeats — so you don't end up short. Note: we can't warrant fabric durability on covers we haven't supplied.
- How much does it cost to reupholster a sofa?
- It depends on the size, the condition and the fabric. As a guide, a two-seater sofa in a mid-range fabric usually starts around £700 to £900 plus vat, and a three-seater from around £900 to £1,100 plus vat. Repairs (frame, springs, foam) are quoted separately. We give every customer a clear, itemised quote with no surprises.
- Do you offer free quotes?
- Yes. Free, no-obligation quotes by phone, email, in shop or, for larger jobs, on site.
